Saying Good Bye to Summer

Yes, it's time to bring in the chairs, wash up the kayak, and say good bye to summer. 

The question for this week is;

What's a new place you've recently been to? 

This summer we bought kayak's. 

It's been an adventure getting them on the car, and down the road. We bought the car racks and now the road is open to us, limited only by our imagination. 

Last week as a last summer trip we went to Salmon Creek Reservoir, Id

So much fun to take the kayak's off the marina where we live to somewhere new. 

It's a dessert reservoir as you can see, no trees. 

Kerry spent the morning teaching me about the lee side of the shore where it was less choppy, and to go into the wake when the speed boats came by. 

It was the perfect way to end summer.
