The Creative Life
A thru Z

To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.

Use the power of your imagination everyday.

Welcome Back.
Thank you for joining me here for another day of
The creative life.
If you have just found me, subscribe, like, and share.
You wont want to miss any of the activities.

This week I would like you to collect the art materials we will need for many of the projects.
For most of the projects I used colored pens, markers and colored pencils. I also bought watercolor paints and acrylic paints.
You will need a tablet of paper or a medium size journal.
We will use the journal for writing and drawing.
I like to gather all my supplies into a big cloth bag.
This keeps them handy for when I'm traveling or go to the park or coffee shop.
Along with the art supplies you will need a scissors, take, and glue.
I like to create with music on so I bring a cd player too.
I guess you can say that the first assignment is to go to the art supply store.
Walk all around and explore what excites you, what you would like to try that 's new, and what looks fun.

What are the colors that call to you?
What is the size of the journal you will be comfortable working in?
What kind of music will you be listening too?
Now: find a new supply item that you have never used.
What did you find? Tell us in the comments.
I would like to create a global community of creative thinkers here.
Be inspired, be creative, be you,
~jean

Pumpkin Patch

Jean Hart Artwork

The Big Pumpkin, acrylic, Jean Hart

The County Fair is not too far off.
People are growing vegetables, sewing crafts, and painting.
I've started to paint for the Fall season for Art O Mat.
Pumpkins always say Fall to me.
I'm thinking of baking for the fair this year.
This is my favorite recipe for Pumpkin Pie.

Today's art challenge is :
Draw something that reminds you of Fall.

Be Kind, Be Caring, Be Compassionate to yourself

Jean Hart Artwork

Be Kind, Be caring, Be compassionate to yourself

Oh, to fall in love.....
It's not for just a person, but with your life.
Open your heart, love is in front of you not behind you.
It's possibilities, opportunities, and chances.
Open the door, step out into the world.
Love is out there.
"In the end all we have is love and memories."
Anonymous.

What will you do today to make memories?

Planning, plotting, and engaging

Soul Song, acrylic, Jean Hart
"The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life. "
William Morris
Do you ever feel like things have passed you by, that it might be too late to do something you were dreaming about?
I think It's never too late for most things.
Making plans, is one of my favorite things to do.
Looking forward to events, trips, visits can help you get through a hard day.
With something to look forward to, kinda gives you hope.
If planning sounds hard or not sure where to start.
Start small, simple, just plan out one day at a time.
Later, you can plan for a whole week, or even a month.
The bigger your plans get the more time you will need for the preparing.
So, think ahead, plan with care, and have fun.
I'm planning to enter two art judged and jury art shows this Fall.
I have to start planning now because first, they each have separate themes and second, I want to go to the receptions and they are both out of town.
Be Inspired,
~jean

Fine Art For The Finer Things In Life
It's here!!
I've been wanting  to tell you for awhile, and now the wait is over.
I've been working on a line of  motivational sunglasses.
My brand new fashion designer sunglass line is officially launched!
One of the first products I've designed for zazzle is the
 "Motivational Sunglasses",
these fun sunglasses come with a little motivational quote on the side of the arm.
I'm starting with a few fashion designs to get started.
In my collection I have included some other artists from zazzle that you might enjoy.
I plan on expanding my designs to fit all the wonderful products zazzle has to offer.
I invite you to visit my store often to see the newest fashion and home interiors as well.
I dreamt of having a stationary store when I was younger.
I kept that vision in front of me when I turned to art.
As my artwork has expanded so has the product line at zazzle.
With this came great opportunity to make better stationary products and
now a fashion line.
Follow me here on my blog or at my online zazzle store,
for all of my new products.
They will add fun and inspiration to your life.
Be Inspired,

Receive, the vision board

Receive
Soul Song, sold
Lately I have been working on my vision broad.
I found an app on my phone that lets me pick symbols and affirmations and lets me move these around freely and a colored background.
Well, the one thing I know for sure about vision boards is that you must be clear.
If your vision is full of maybe's or I wish, I don't know, or even I don't care! Then be prepared for fuzzy unclear ops I didn't mean that gifts.
To receive a gift of love or help you must be grateful.
But, gratitude is for another blog another time.
Today, just start thinking about the things you would like and I like to put down my part in helping this happen and the rest is up the the Universe.
Your not suppose to ask about the how's.
But just make your list, prayer over it and be grateful.
Have fun with this too.
My board, well it's pretty exciting since I understand that there are no limits to asking.
Be Inspired,
~jean
Please enjoy the show.

How do you make new friends?

Jean Hart
Key To My Heart, acrylic, Jean Hart

Healing Cards.
by Caroline Myss and Peter Occhiogrosso

Today's card:
A Cheerful expression brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.

Here's a task:
Be the bearer of only good news today. In living out this task, note whether you find it difficult to maintain. And if so, discover why within yourself.

The healing value of a kind glance and positive reinforcement was know to the ancient Hebrews over 3,000 years ago. This passage from the Book of Proverbs, (15:30), attributed to King Solomon , is just one example of the practical wisdom buried in the Hebrew Bible, and other ancient scriptures, which bears only a tangential connection to religious dogma. It shouldn't"t seem at all odd that people living in a culture with far fewer distractions and monumentally less information to master could bring their minds and hearts to focus on what really matter, and generate wisdom that is supported by recent medical and scientific research.

Blessing your life with family and friends is what makes a well balanced life. But, what happens when you suddenly find yourself alone? Maybe because you've moved to a new city. Maybe you find that once the kids have left home you no longer have so much to do and the line of commitment to organizations have left you with free time.
My question is simply this.
How do you make new friends?
