Today I'm sharing a hobby that I have loved since childhood.  Coin collecting.

My son Matthew has collected coins with me since he was very young and because coins are  so fascinating he has continued collecting coins as an adult.

Seven swans a swinning, refers to the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, the seven sacraments,

Six geese a laying,

Five golden rings,

Four calling birds,

Three French hens,

Two turtle doves,

And a partidge in a pear tree.

 This has been a crazy Spring so far this year, lots of rain and wind. 

ArtoMat has just sent me a box of 100 blank wooden blocks to paint. 

 Each new season brings a new box of blank blocks. I'm never sure exactly what I will paint until I go through a ritual of cleaning off the desk, straitening all the paints and brushes and getting to prepared for the day of painting.

These blocks have now been sent off to a Artomat machine near you, hopefully.
