Good Idea's

Soul Song, Acrylic, 32" x 36" S0LD Jean Hart Artwork

Where do you go for good ideas?
As an artist I am often asked this question.
It's a good question and I have lots of answers for ideas.
Many of my ideas for paintings come from my own life.
I have often said,
"If you have left an impression on my life there's a good chance you will find yourself in one of my paintings".
Aside from that my sources are many.
Now that I'm connected to the Internet I find it fun to surf around and find new works of art.
Since my artwork is considered "Outsider" art. I find inspirations on YouTube's "how to paint", a very good source of information.
Just as a writer is told to write about the things he knows about, I too think that a artist will paint the things they are interested in.
When I first started to paint, I painted landscapes, tress, streams....etc. Nothing that really interested me. But I was told, and to some degree believed that if I wanted to sell I had to paint landscapes.
Well, surprise, surprise, I have found conceptual painting far more interesting, and lucrative.
Good ideas come to you when you are curious and aware of your surrounding. They come when you least except them and they come by sharing thoughts and ideas with others.

How I am....not how I was

I Remember, acrylic, 14/18 framed

Sometimes, I am not whom I seem to be in the world.
Sometimes when I look in the mirror I see only flaws.
I don't mean to be so critical of myself, it just happens.
This summer has been one of emotions.
Good and Bad and some that are new to me.
There are times when I'm trying to explain myself to someone and
They stop me and say "That's not true".
So who do I think I am?
I find that I am someone who can be alone. In fact, if I was not alone I would not be painting and creating as much as I do.
But, that is not so ......I do not like to be alone all that much.

I have this painting hand in my house.
Some say, "But you haven't finished it."
I say, Haven't I?
It is a reminder to me that there is always more to be done.
I have always told my husband he married a city girl.
But, is that true anymore?
I live far from the city and traffic of  freeways and crowds.
CHANGE.....Always. change.
When I was younger, I danced. I danced everyday and took dance classes.
Do you remember when that was offered in college?
I took every dance class they offered.
Oh, how I loved to dance.
Now that I'm older I don't dance much anymore.
Only at weddings and yoga retreats.
CHANGE..Always change.
I use to Model.
I loved fashion, clothes and hair and style.
NO, that hasn't changed. I still love clothes and fashion.
But, my style has changed. You can't wear hot pants forever.
There is a grace with growing older.
In 5 months I will be 60 years old.
I look forward to that chapter of me life.
Will I be slowing down?
There is a Full Blue Moon on January 31.
There will not be another until 2018.
I am preparing my home, my body and my spirit for a wonderful cleansing.

I'm new to this, so I bought a few books to help me.
I will also do the fire ceremony that I usually do for full moons.

It's strange don't you think, I mean how we see ourselves. How the world See's us.
Sometimes I think people see me how I was and not how I am.
What about you?
Will you be open to the new you this blue moon?

celebrating life

Celebrating Life
Hiking in Lamoille,
It feels so good to be hiking. I had said that this year was going to be the year I hiked.
And I have. Maybe not as much as I wanted to because of the weather, but hiking I have.
This is a hike up to Island Lake in the Ruby MT, in Nevada.
I went with my son Matt and his son Carter.
In the middle of July we were so surprised to find all these flowers.
Fields of  flowers.

Look at this little bee, his legs are weighed down by pollen. He can't even fly. But that doesn't keep him from trying.
Healing Cards, Caroline Myss and Peter Occhiogrosso
My Healing card today is:
Everything lost is found again; everything hurt is healed again.
I went for my results of this years x rays on my back.
Good news/ bad news.
My neck is improving, however, after all the adjustment, walking, yoga and swimming.
My back disc is the same. Not better, not worse, just the same.
But it is a thousand times better than 3 years ago.
Healing cards says,
This truth has the power to retrieve a part of your spirit from the past. It's a mantra that's strong enough to overcome past injuries. This will be your constant thought today.

So, it's back to the exercise routine.......

Animated Writing Glyph Test1

Animated Writing Glyph Test1

Time to paint, fingers and toes that is

French Kiss Life practice for this week is to have your nails and toes painted.
Because it shows a little self care and pride.
When people first meet you the for the first time, the second thing they look at after the seeing your beautiful face is your hands.
It will just make you feel good to show your rings and if you use your hands to talk...
well, look how much better that will be.
Have fun with this.
Pick a fun color and try something new. Even if you don't like to wear polish at least have them manicured.

Everything About Paris, beehives

Everything About Paris
paris smarts

Off the Beaten Path,
There are active beehives on the roof of:

1. The Louvre
2. Notre Dame
3. The Paris Opera
4. The Eiffel Tower

The Paris Opera
Two colonies of bees live on top of the Paris Opera and are maintained by a retired props man. The honey is sold at the Opera's gift shop and has a delicate, spicy flavor. If you want to pick up a new skill such as apiculture (beekeeping), sign up for classes in the Jardin du Luxembourg.

Sweet, sign up for bee keeping classes. I have heard that if you buy honey in the area of where you live you and eat it regularly you will not have allergies.
The Paris Opera House
This is the most beautiful place. I would definitely put this on my tour list.
