Spring Cleaning Feng Shui

SOUL COACHING DAY 5  AIR
Part of the air week is learning to see joy and surprises in your life. So I have a second journal titled "Joy Journal."  this is where I write, draw, collage and have poetry, photos... One a day to chronicle the simple moments and the great surprise of life. Magical moments of each day of the program. So there I am, eating Chinese dinner with my little fortune cookie. Well anyone who knows me knows I buy a box of these cookies just so I can have a fortune cookie wish. This one says, "I will have a surprise today."  Very simply put.."How do they know these things!!" Later, after dinner, I went to my art workshop. We are a group of artists who work together and encourage each other and now we are getting ready for a big Art Exhibit at the Northeastern Nevada Museum. I went to pay for my five canvas's which I thought were $50.00 each only to find out they were on $25.00. BIG SURPRISE!!! Oh I just love this when it happens. Did it go in my Joy Journal,,,,you bet it did.

Air week is all about cleaning out, your mind, emotions, energy and home. I found this site that I feel is a good place to start.
Enjoy the energy once you start this process you will just feel lighter, I did and I do.

Soul Coaching Day 4

Soul Coach
Day 4

Air
I can not think of a better song to go with this weeks AIR
Where are you now in your life?
Core beliefs about life, rigid rules you have created on your own. I'm not one for going into ones past, but, Denise makes sense when she says, we are what are parent told us we are. Even if you want something different those words you heard while you were young stay with you.
Affirmation for the Day
"I love and accept who I am...and who I am is enough."
Now I'm not going to say I had a bad childhood, or that I was neglected or abused.
In someway I may have had all of that in little doses.
My current thinking is that everyone did the best they could at the time.
Because I love writing and know how powerful words are, I can understand how they sit in your subconscious.
On level one Committed to Change! Be the Sacred Observer.
I sometimes think I don't know what my beliefs are. So today, I will listen to what I tell myself, what are the words I use to describe myself. Listening to the internal dialogue and observe the language and words I use will give me an idea of how I feel about myself and what I believe.
changing your language can change your life.
I am lonely can become I am open for love.
I am exhausted can become I am recharging
I am slow moving can become I move at my own speed.
I am in pain can be my body is telling me something.
I am a bad speller can be I love spell check
my arts not good enough can be you are learning to express yourself better each day.
Today
observe your life while you hold the thought that the events of your life today are neither good or bad, they are just the events of the day. They are only good or bad depending upon the meaning that you give them.
Make a list of your faults, and see how you can turn them into a positive.
Core Beliefs is a notion that you have held so long and repeated so often that it has become entrenched into your subconscious mind.
These things take time to write down and think about, and continue to think of how I am going to change these core beliefs.
I invite you to go through this book with me. I would love to form a support group here.

Dada Art

Dada
1916-1920
Zurich, Berlin, New Your
I must confess I do not know much about Dada artwork.
The Fun Fact I found about where the word Dada came from,
"The origin of the name Dada is in dispute. The most popular theory is that "Dada artists randomly stabbed at the French-German dictionary and hit the word "Dada," French for hobbyhorse. The other is that the word is simply nonsense or babble, reflecting the artists' attitude toward fine art."
Well there you go!!!! I like the babble myself.
It was during World War 1 that these artists came on the art world. They created provocative, contradictory, and irrational art. Their art was a way to protest against the war.
Dada artist did not seem to have a specific medium or standard to their work. More like chaos was used to create collage, paints, and sculptures. They were not interested in art for arts beauty. No, they were more interested in making the viewer think. They were more engaged in discussions of poetry readings, and performances and images that mocked the government, art world, and contemporary culture. I believe they were using art to make a political statement.
The Dada artist were the founders of what later became Surrealists artists.
Selected artists of Dada:
Jean Arp, Hugo Ball, Marcel Duchamp, George Grosz, Raoul Hausmann
Something to think about today.
Where can you find artwork that may be political or provocative,
 contradictory?
Do you consider it artwork if it is not beautiful?
Have you ever made artwork that was a statement of current affairs?
These are my two paintings that were influenced by current affairs.

This is me, Jean, on my first night when I picked up the book, Soul Coaching, 28 to transform your soul, by Denise Linn.
I was playing around with my kindle when I saw that I could take pictures with it. So, the idea accured to me, that I should take pictures each day and lets see if there's a change in my appearance, attitude, aura.....I don't know what to expect but  I've had a hard 5 years. I had a partcial hysterectomy, one year of antibodies for a bladder problem, knee surgery, later a slipped disc. I have a disc that is pushed forward that causes pain. I'm 15months into a 24 month PT Program. I'm exercising and do small house chores. While all this is happening, I have continued to paint and show my artwork at exhibits and shows and create a online store at www.zazzle.com/jeanhar1*. But still there is so much emptiness inside me. So much loneliness.Don't get me wrong here, I am liked by many, loved by some and I love all the people in my life. So, I'm thinking my soul is in need of some S.O.S. and TLC.
Day 1  Good Morning, I start my day close to 5 A.M. I'm ready to start reading, writing, and doing whatever my first day is going to be. Today's exercises are probably the most time-consuming of all exercises for the month.  Life Assessment: Stark honesty about where you are, be honest in your self-appraisal. Well, really, does anyone look good at 5 in the morning. Here, I go. Affirmation for the Day" My evaluation of myself is not who I am." Today, Periodically take deep breaths, visualizing life force energy filling your lungs and your body."  I have committed to Change! so I'm hoping to have time to do all the levels in the exercises each day. Write out your intention for the next 28 days, assess your life in terms of health, relationships, finances, career, creativity, and spiritual fulfillment.
My list was terribly long.....and the next part was to write a plan of small steps to improve the areas that needed help. Helping to discover where you are now and where you would like to be. The list is long. But what I came up with was a list of things for me to do each day to help my soul reach her truth. The Soul loves the truth......I have a journal I use for this, It's marked Personal and Private, I can not be responsible for hurt feelings it you trespass and read my personal and private thoughts!!!

  1. No, I will not be sharing those oh, so private thoughts here either. I thought I could but, it just doesn't seem right to bore you with them. What I will share is the process in the book, and each days assignments.  What will I be working on. The list in the book is so long, I can not believe someone can change all of that in just 28 days. I have picked a few that struck me, and maybe later will come back to pick up a few more.
  2. Self esteem
  3. worry/frustration
  4. anger/irritation
  5. shame/guilt
  6. fear of failure/success/taking risks/self motivations
  7. relationships with friends
  8. relationship with the Creator
  9. forgiving myself
  10. my past
  11. job/work/career/      and physical health
  12.

That's quite a list.....It's never easy to look at ones life and assess it for a truth without being critical. So my assessment, was pretty harsh on myself. The little steps each day are small, but necessary.
Denise has a on line website you can visit to help with support while going through your 28 days
http://soul-coaching.com/
I plan on visiting this site the whole 28 days. It took my 3 days to get through the first days assignments. The Assessment of my Home was so intense but it truly gave me a vision of where to start.

~Jean

The Harmany of art and spirit

WASSILY KANDINSKY (1866-1944)
"All methods are sacred if they are internally necessary. All methods are sins if they are not justified by internal necessity." Wassily Kandinsky
Wassily Kandinsky is known as one of the founding fathers of abstract art, by distorting realities of the physical world, more of what he was trying to create was  a spiritual encounter by way of the colors and shapes he employed in his art.
He is a Russian artist only after he attended the University of Moscow where is studied law and economics and eventually taught.
In 1911, he co founded a Munich artists circle, Der Blaue Reiter, or The Blue Riders, whose members shared an idea that art could share i a interconnectedness of art and spirituality.
Kandinsky's name has been associated with "Improvisations," "Impressions," and Compositions." art styles.
Notable works" Composition V, 1911; Painting with Green Center,  1913; Yellow, Red, Blue, 1925.
Here are some of his images,

I have been influenced greatly by Kandinsky's work. Many of my Kaleidoscope paintings come from his artist blending of art and spirit.
falling in love, acrylic, 3' x 3' by Jean Hart
Toady's challenge is to come up with a painting that reflects your own desire of art and spirit.
