The Parisian catacombs are an elaborate network of old mine shafts that became the final resting place for more than five million peop;e. The bones were first brought to the mines in 1786 because of concern about disease spread by poorly dug graves. Today, visitors can tour the catacombs and see incredibly intricate stacks of bones.

 

Well my first thought was not to put this on my list of must sees when in Paris.

Old mines and stacked bones just did not interest me. Not until, he said, "incredibly intricate stacks of bones.

So, yes here I go, googling about the catacombs.

I am so glad I watched the YouTube on this.

While I am amazed at the patience it must have taken to stack all the bones into a wall that way. I will probably not go see this in person.

Although the double kiss a peck on alternate cheeks, is common in Paris, there is no single norm. The "triple kiss" and the "four kiss" are popular, too. The standard greeting between strangers and in business settings is ofter a handshake.

 

Well, I got that wrong. But then again it's nice to know I don't have to go around kissing everyone I meet. It's good to know these customs before traveling.

Yes, more snow!! I didn't ask for it but it came anyway...

The holiday season continues.

Since I'm still off work for Christmas break, I thought I would make a vision board.

This will help to manifest and attract what I need, or what I want.

I must be careful with what I put on the board...I believe it will come true.

By now you must know that Paris will be on my board.

It is my plan to go there when I turn 60....Not yet..But, it's never too soon to start planning.

New Year's is just 3 days away.

I am not so sure about having this at my New Year's eve table. I was hoping more for a

Magnum bottle of Champagne..

Not sure about the dessert yet, but of course it will be homemade.

 

The best dinners I have ever had were simple.

Have the bar stocked with Vodka, Gin and Scotch.

Make sure to have non-alcohol drinks too,

like coke, 7up, and a few juices too.

Don't forget the wines, I prefer reds.

Of course, Champagne!
