Lately I have been working on my vision broad. 

I found an app on my phone that lets me pick symbols and affirmations and lets me move these around freely and a colored background.

Well, the one thing I know for sure about vision boards is that you must be clear. 

If your vision is full of maybe's or I wish, I don't know, or even I don't care! Then be prepared for fuzzy unclear ops I didn't mean that gifts.

To receive a gift of love or help you must be grateful.

But, gratitude is for another blog another time.

Today, just start thinking about the things you would like and I like to put down my part in helping this happen and the rest is up the the Universe. 

Your not suppose to ask about the how's. 

But just make your list, prayer over it and be grateful. 

Have fun with this too.

Vision Boards, their your future

Vision Boards....

What is a vision board?

 It is a way for you to create the life you want by collecting images

and making a collage of the things you want.

 

It is your future. 

 

Above is my digital vision board.

I layered the background with a painting of California poppies I did in color pencil. 

Then started to add words that inspire me.

In the past I have made vision boards that are much larger and much more elaborate.

I start with a large piece of poster board.

Next, I meditate on what I see my future to be.

I ask these questions.

What kind of life do I want to create for myself? 

Where do I see myself in a month, six months, a year? Or longer.

1. start with a large poster board.

2. I like to divide the board into compartments;

 Home, health, knowledge, finances, travel.

Come up with your own ideas.

Remember, this is your future life, not your life now.

3. I start looking through magazines for I can cut out and glue onto the board.

Be specific. If you want a new car, cut out a picture of the exact car you want. Not just any car.

4. If you can't find photos of what you want, then draw it. Or write it on the board.

5. I love words so I always find quotes that inspire me.

6. Use paints, pens, stickers, photos, glitter, ribbons.

Whatever you need to dress this board up so it reflects your image of the future.

EXPRESS YOURSELF..

7. Next, I like to make a plan. I turn the board over, I draw two lines straight down the board from top to bottom. I pick three things from the front of the  board I want. 

 I number  1-3 in each column, and list  three small steps to how this will happen.

I also give a date that each step will be completed.

Be realistic about this. Not everything happens in a day, week or even a month.

8. Now find a place where you will look at this board everyday

What Does Style mean to YOU?

It's never too late to show someone you care.

Here are a few of my favorite things

 

 

Valentine's Day is only 10 days away.

 

If your looking for style. I think you have to look beyond clothes.

Of course style is clothes too, but what if style meant more.

 Something more like the way you

 set a table, make a meal, decorate your home, or show the people in your life you care.

I'm thinking real style has nothing to do with money and

 everything to do with the life you create.

Here is where creating a vision board comes in.

Vision boards are for creating a well lived, stylish, and creative life.

The life you want.

Once you have picked things that you are interested in, say,

education, home, vacation, cars, travel, people.

YOUR STYLE.

 Than you can make a map and set goals.

Not everyone starts off walking on a runway wear Chanel.

You have to build up to it. Step by step.

For me, there are now fashion limits.

I can not wear high heels, or use mascara. I have learned to adjust.

Are fashion and style the same?

I say no.

I believe everyone has style. You just have to find yours.

And when you do,

"The evening will be full of surprises."

says my Love Fortune Cookie.

 

Recently I have changed my art style to do more pen and ink drawings.

They are so convenient for me to carry around in my purse. That when I find a minute to sit with coffee, I can easily bring a notepad out and draw.

I joined in on a Mail Art Project in Austria.

The theme is:

Turquoise.

Good Morning Monday!

 

Yes, more snow!! I didn't ask for it but it came anyway...

The holiday season continues.

Since I'm still off work for Christmas break, I thought I would make a vision board.

This will help to manifest and attract what I need, or what I want.

I must be careful with what I put on the board...I believe it will come true.

By now you must know that Paris will be on my board.

It is my plan to go there when I turn 60....Not yet..But, it's never too soon to start planning.

New Year's is just 3 days away.

The Green Fairy was a popular Parisian liquor.

Absinthe, the green liquor enjoyed by Pablo's Picasso, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and others, was also known as La Fee Verte, or The Green Fairy, for its hypnotic effects. Absinthe contains a potent toxin. France outlawed it in 1915, and then in 1988 allowed a safe version to be sold.

 

So there you have it. Ever wonder how Picasso came up with the style of his paintings!!

I am not so sure about having this at my New Year's eve table. I was hoping more for a

Magnum bottle of Champagne..

So I'm wondering what goes with this liquor.

Shrimp Cocktail

Bruschetta

Homemade meatballs

and spaghetti

Salad

French Rolls

Not sure about the dessert yet, but of course it will be homemade.

 

The best dinners I have ever had were simple.

Have the bar stocked with Vodka, Gin and Scotch.

Make sure to have non-alcohol drinks too,

like coke, 7up, and a few juices too.

Don't forget the wines, I prefer reds.

Of course, Champagne!
