Love Fortunes for Valentines

1 Day to Valentine's Day

1 Day to Valentine's Day.....

Other Than You
by Girly

If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

To Be In The Arms of Love
by Jean Hart
I have been taken,
numbed, dumbed an stunned
into the arms of love,
Would you kindly turn yourself
inside out and twist
your heart just so
to be in the arms of love,
If you would, could you please
remove all logical thought
and expose yourself emotionally
to be in the arms of love.
Buckle up for the ride of love is intense.
You have no idea how steely
you must be
to be in the arms of love.

Love Fortune Cookie,
This is the one, the last one. Let it be the best one of the bunch.
"True happiness is holding the hand of the one you hold dear."
Aha, again how very true it is.
Many blessing to you,
may your heart hold love, joy and good fortune.

~Jean

A love Letter to Myself

A Love Letter To Myself
Figuring out who you are is not what you are here for. The world sees you. You are a good person, a true person and hold fast to that.
You simply have to remove all the things from your life you are not. List them if you must, put them to past. You'll will find your true self under the clutter.
Start with that brilliant smile. See how fast the strangers who pass you smile back. Join in and you will find your place.
Begin today, don't hide your shine.
Not now when the world needs you so much to smile at it.
Be your own friend, I have seen how well you treat your friends.
Your Friend
Your True self

Something to think about, something to create

Something to think about.
Question?

Salvador Dali created a famous tree structure in Paris, made from?
A. Bread dough
B. Chocolate
C. Marzipan paste
D. Spoons

Answer:
A. Bread Dough
Boulangerie Poilane has at times accepted art as payment for food, including the carbo-rich tree concocted by Salvador Dali. The bakery, on rue du Cherche Midi, is famous not just for sourdough country bread and apple tarts but for the works of art that adorn its halls and walls.
Oh, I bet the bread tastes better then anything I can get in the grocery store here.
My Challenge to you is :
Make a creative tree out of bread dough like Salvador Dali did, or better yet, make some wonderful art creation of your own.
I would love to see what you come up with.
Here is the Boulangerie Poilane, take a tour,

Blue Monday

Blue Monday,
Baby it's cold outside, -20 this morning, but the sun is up....
Fill your cup up.
It can only be -20 or it can be -20 with the sun up.
Start filling that cup with things that will fill your heart.
Every year I get asked from family, What do you want for Christmas?
Every year I tell them the same thing.
I want things that will fill my senses.
You know, eyes, ears, smells, taste, touch.....
When my life feels staled. Like nothing is happening.
I go back to my W's list.
I find that many of the things I need start with the letter W.
Try it. See how many words that make you happy start with the letter W.
I'm making my list right now.

Following My Bliss

What surrounds you is what you will become.
I came across a quote that touched off me drawing this little picture.
"Ninety-nine percent of who you are is invisible. and untouchable."
R. Buck minster Juller (1898-1983)

If you are wondering the big questions of, Who you are and What is your purpose?. Well, I'm not sure there is just one answer for that.
My thinking is that I will have to keep exploring myself and my world around me.
I recently gave much of my artwork away to a thrift shop in town. This brought on a lot of speculation about if I have given up being an artist.
The answer is NO. Not at all. I had to let go of the old artwork, to make room for the new artwork I see myself doing.
I love this quote. It was given to me by a very wise and dear person to me.
Not only did she say things like, "If you really want something you will make it happen for yourself."
But her next quote was, "Quitters never win and winners never quit."
Those are hard words to go against.
At a young age there was plenty I did not know how to get for myself, so following others examples of what I wanted to do was a good decision.
Once I was older, Never quiting was harder as things became harder to do.
No, I am not giving up art or being an artist. I love it too much.
I am now giving myself time to develop and explore how to become more creative. Investigating how my artwork can inspire and help others. Exploring all my options, uncovering all the possibilities and investigating where the new adventure will take me.
I have emptied nearly 3 bookcases of books. I can hardly wait to see what I fill them up with in the coming years.
I have let go of research books, reference books, and how tos, just so I can free my mind to let in new ideas, new techniques, new ways of living.

Live to Inspire

Live to Inspire
Ideas and Concepts
acrylic by
Jean Hart
Inspire. ...

What moves you to the point that you must do something and then share it with someone?
Inspiring is doing something bold or courageous and then passing this high energy along to someone else.
How do you know if you are the one inspiring or being inspired?
I moved completely away from home at a tender age of 18. With no friends to a new city, college and barely no money.
Was that inspiring?
I married at 21 and again moved far from home to a city with no family or friends, with only $100.00 and no where to live.
Was that inspiring?
Being brave, vibrant, and as authentic as you can in living your life.
Yes, I think that's inspiring.
Telling how I left a job as a baker when I read a fortune cookie that said,
"Move in a different direction to begin your dream life".
Yes, that was inspired!
I hope that I don't just tell people about being inspired, I hope they are inspired by watching how I live my life. How sometimes taking a risk works out, being bold is exciting, taking chances makes your heart beat faster, by picking yourself up after a disappointment and moving forward after a good cry.
Keep moving forward...keep up the curiosity....keep the ideas and concepts coming.
I love this little abstract painting. It was my first attempt at painting concepts. Every time I look at it I see something new. It Inspires Me.
Show yourself to the world.
Breathe in, breathe out.

Friends are not by accident

Spring Creek Marina, acrylic, 16" x 24" Jean Hart
There are no accidents,
we don't meet people by accident. We meet them when we are out and about and open. People are meant to come into our lives for a reason.

People ask me why I paint???

WHY DO I PAINT?????

People ask me why I paint???
I think it's a silly question, but, they look so serious when they ask me.
I think it's because as a child I was very shy. Words would not come to me. I think in a different life I expressed myself more clearly and concise.  Now as an adult words are flying all around me and my paintings help to express them in a more flowing and comprehensive way.
I paint because it's fun. Because it makes me feeling free. I paint my life mostly. If you are in my life, and some how have made an impression on me, there's a good chance that you will find yourself in one of my paintings. Of course, I will never tell.
I love to hear how people relate to my paintings. What they see, what they feel.
I paint with my soul of curiosity. I paint what I like and I put words to the painting that inspire me.
I hope people like what I do, enjoy the artwork and connect to it.
But if not, well, that's fine too. My job is simply to create. Not judge it, change it to fit someone else ideal of art or impress you.
The artwork is mine to share with you.
Paint your toes, your house, your face. Paint pictures of your family and your life.
Just create and express yourself. That's what I do.
Painting is part of my healing. It was there when nothing else was. It gave me a way to express my pain, and my love, and my life.
I paint everyday. I read about art everyday. I look at artwork everyday.
Art is my life, I am art.

SOUL COACHING DAY 28

SOUL COACHING
DAY 28
EARTH WEEK
Today is the last day......it's been a great 28 days.
I'm just a bit sad....but then again, so many things have changed.
The last day was awesome.
Creating a circle of love, preparing a alter, and, finding my center.
If I was to pick the best week, I could not. Each week delivered its own challenges and surprises.
I grew leaps and bounds.
Earth week came with the most important career decisions and opportunities.
Having gone through the first weeks allowed for me not to panic and make a sound decision. One that really reflected me.
Today's affirmation
"I give love deeply and fully. I receive love deeply and fully. My essence is love."
I asked that I could open myself up to trust more, live fuller, and love completely.
New people came, old ones left and those who are still standing at the sidelines are still waiting for something to happen.  They missed it!!!
I sent my postcards to France for the mail art exhibit, "How Do You See Disabilities in the World?'
Looking back on the time of my injury give  me so much to be grateful for. While I'm not yet where I once was, I am no longer as disabled as I once was either.
Reminding myself everyday that my life is getting better, healthier, happier and stronger.
On this last day of Soul Coaching, I did level 3
Go to the Center of Your Being.
Honestly, it's long, so here is my take on it.
Put the music on LOUD, MOVE YOUR BODY, ROUND AND ROUND, SHAKE, DANCE, AND FEEL THE RHYTHM OF THE MUSIC.
Then stop, turn the music off, close your eyes, and go to the center of your being.
Feel all the emotions of the last 28 days, all the feelings, and all the coincidence's you have had.
You made it through what I think was a very intense 28 days of soul coaching.

From Day 1 to Day 28
I can see the transformation.
I loved this book.

Technical Tuesday still life

TECHNICAL TUESDAY

well technically this will not be a "Technical " instruction day.
Mothers Day is coming up and so I have started to paint flowers.
I went to my local craft store and found drawing paper in 5 x 7 pads. I thought wow, this is great, they were already cut for me, in canvas for acrylic, pastel and colored pencil.
I brought out all my colored pencils and started to put together a little still life of flowers.
Today you will be doing the same.
Really think about what kind of flowers YOU LIKE. I find it easier if you like what you are going to draw.
I start with the size and shape of the vase.
pencil in the flower placement.
Pick out a color scheme that is complementary.
I usually work from top to bottom, and with pencil front to back.
Meaning that my background is usually the last thing I draw.
Have fun with this, it's not meant to be hard.
For me this whole painting was imaginary, but if you need to look at something by all means bring out your flower photos.
Have Fun,

~Jean

Strength to know when to let go

STRENGTH
I pulled the Strength card this morning in my near future tarot reading.
It says
"Love conquers all. Avoid pettiness and prejudice. The to be a peace maker. Weigh all sides of every situation. Don't be so set in your ways that you miss the big picture by focusing on details. Stubbornness is your challenge of the moment."
Interesting.......Making myself strong in body and mind as been a bit of a challenge. Building my strength in body just so I can carry my own suitcase when traveling or my own baggage when not.
The greatest part of this is I know the sun will come up and the moon too.
Right now for this day and days to come,I think that my strength will show from having the strength of heart to hold others close and let them go all at the same time.

~Jean
